Cancellation on the day of examination is impossible, but if cancellation is unavoidable, the cost of materials and medications for the examination will be charged to you. Please arrive at the Health Promotion Center 10 minutes before your reservation.

As client precautions and preparations are necessary for conducting an accurate test, please read carefully and observe the following.
- Precautions
- You will first receive an intravenous injection of radioactive agents and wait for 40~50 minutes for the agents to be distributed throughout the whole body before proceeding with the radiography. The radiography will take 20~30 minutes.
- The test will take approximately an hour and half including a short interview, blood sugar test and preparation time. If there additional tests are required, it could take more time.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding at the moment, please consult your physician before proceeding with the test.
- Preparation before examination
- You must fast for at least 6 hours before the test. If your test is scheduled in the morning, start fasting after dinner on the previous day. If your test is scheduled in the afternoon, start fasting after a light breakfast.
- On the day before the test, any beverage apart from water is prohibited. You may drink water while fasting after dinner, but please avoid beverages that contain sugar.
- Avoid excessive exercise and maintain a stable condition on the test day and the previous day. Please refrain from hurrying or running with luggage especially on the test day.
- Preparation during examination
- After arriving at the test room, you will fill out a simple survey and take a blood sugar test. Then you will receive an intravenous injection of radioactive agents at the stabilizing room.
- After receiving your injection, rest on the bed in the stabilizing room.
- Close your eyes and minimize talking, and refrain from making phone calls or chewing gums.
- Before scanning, completely empty your bladder in the toilet and be careful not to have any urine on your clothes or body.
- If a focus is expected near the bladder, you may proceed with the test after inserting a urinal tube upon the physician’s request. (Additional costs will arise in case of urinal tube insertion.)
- If required during the procedure, muscle relaxants or diuretics may be administered for additional tests.
