Coolprep Preparation Instructions
※ Take two yellow tablets (Dulcolax) with plenty of water at 10 p.m. before the test day.
Coolprep dosing times
- Previous day
- Collect a stool sample and store it in a cool location.
- Stool sample collection instructions: Use a spoon attached to the stool container lid and take about 5g (pea sized).
- Other instructions
- Blood pressure medicine: Take it with a small amount of water at 6 a.m. on the test day.
- Diabetes medicine: Do not take the medicine in the morning on the test day.
- Aspirin: Discontinue use three (3) days before the test after consulting with the doctor.
- Anticoagulant, thrombolytic agents: Discontinue use seven (7) days before the test after consulting with the doctor
- Please be advised that you may experience incidental events such as dehydration or electrolyte imbalance after bowel preparation, breathing problems and bleeding caused by sedation, and perforations.
- f a biopsy is to be conducted for diagnostic purposes, polyps smaller than 5mm in diameter can be immediately removed. However, larger polyps must be treated with therapeutic removal of polyps at the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology.
- After the biopsy, make additional payments at the Health Promotion Center. You will receive test results on the day of comprehensive exam results.
- Do not drive your own vehicle due to sedation on the test day. Make sure your guardian accompanies you on your way home.
