The Department of Clinical Pharmacology conducts multidisciplinary integrative research and translational research, such as clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenomics, and metabolomics, making a contribution to the development of personalized optimal drug therapies. To that end, the department provides patients with consultation on therapeutic drug monitoring, conducts early clinical trials to develop new drugs, and works to develop next-generation clinical trial technologies.
- Early clinical trials
The Department of Clinical Pharmacology provides consultation on, designs, conducts, and analyzes early clinical trials, and works with the clinical departments to perform clinical pharmacology studies on various patient groups.
- Therapeutic drug monitoring
To develop personalized drug therapies, the department offers consultation on optimal drug therapies to patients who take certain types of antibiotics, anticonvulsants, and cardiotonics, for which therapeutic ranges are clearly defined.
- Support services
The Department of Clinical Pharmacology carries out the following support services:
- Design, conduct, and analyze results of investigator-initiated clinical trials
- Support translational research
- Develop and manage a database
- Analyze group pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
- Develop drug monitoring and analysis methods
- Pharmacogenomics and metabolites analysis
- Medical writing
