Hair Transplantation Center
Hair Transplantation Center
Founded in 1996, the KNUH Hair Transplantation Center was the first hair clinic to be built within a university hospital in South Korea. Since then, the center has treated hair loss/alopecia affecting many people today. In 2011, it received funding from the Ministry of Health & Welfare and Daegu City’s leading medical technology support project, the center was relocated to Daegu City Center.
The KNUH Hair Transplantation Center website became the first hair clinic in the world to develop the follicular unit hair transplantation technology. Using this technology the center has provided accurate diagnoses of various hair disorders, such as alopecia and excessive hair growth, and specialized care encompassing single unit hair transplant, micrograft hair transplant, and permanent hair restoration. The center also has an affiliated hair research center to conduct bioscience research. By applying the KNU hair transplant device developed by Professor Kim Jung-chul, the center can perform from 1,500 to 2,000 hair grafts per hour and guarantees natural-looking results with the world’s highest graft survival rate (92%).
At the KNUH Hair Transplantation Center, appointments can only be made over the phone.
